Alison Blake has established herself as an inspiring performing artist and dedicated therapeutic harpist. Her technical mastery and expressive playing keep her in high demand as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. As an ambassador for new music, Alison has premiered numerous works, collaborated with composers and performed for innovative concerts and recordings. She is extremely enthusiastic about bringing music into health care facilities and hopes to establish a Therapeutic Musician program at Tufts Medical Center with the help and expertise of Cynthia Price-Glynn and Irene Lannon.
Alison currently lives in Boston where she is being certified as a Therapeutic Musician, freelancing with various local orchestras and giving recitals in local churches. She received a Master of Music as well as a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan.
